About E.L. Williams

E.L. Williams was born in Muscatine, Iowa.  At an early age, she was encouraged by many teachers to pursue writing.  After attending The University of Iowa's Writer Workshop in 4th grade, her interest was sparked.  As a 7th grade student Williams won a slogan contest which had her slogan, name and face plastered across the city of Muscatine.  It was then that she considered writing as a career.

After graduation, Williams attended The University of Northern Iowa where she majored in English.  Again several professors encouraged her to pursue writing full-time.  She met her husband, married and settled in the Waterloo/Cedar Falls area to raise her family.  Several years ago, Williams, her husband and three very active children relocated to Des Moines where she currently resides.

As her children all approached high school age, Williams decided it was time to pursue her dream of writing.  Baker Street Baptist, is the result of that pursuit and is the first in a three-part series.
